General Membership Meeting Nov. 19
At our general members meeting Nov. 19, we were visited by Mayor Brian Pugh of the Village of Croton, along with Emiljana Ulaj, Westchester County Legislator, who presented our award-winning members, Don, Joe, and Pete with proclamations in recognition of their service to the Croton Lions Club and the Croton community. They will be further recognized by each having a day named in their honor in the Village of Croton.
In late 2025, we will acknowledge members who go above and beyond at an awards celebration. We will also share with Lions Club International throughout the year some key examples of member service.
Sharon Kollberg, our newest member, was sponsored by Vic Conte, and inducted into the Croton Lions by Don Daubney. Welcome Sharon!
Claudia Romano gave an update on our next event, the Christmas tree sale. She is working with young volunteers to help with unloading and moving the trees due to arrive Friday, Nov. 29. All hands are needed to remove netting and attach tags and stands. Claudia circulated sign-up sheets for members to volunteer for 3-hour shifts (12-3, 3-6 weekdays; 9-12, 12-3, 3-6 weekends). Our Scholarship Awards Program flyer will be distributed during the sale.
A holiday party is planned for members and spouses at the Dec. 17 monthly meeting. We’ll have a festive catered dinner ($20 per person) and a grab bag (up to $20). Please RSVP to Claudia so we can plan for food and check your email as the date approaches for further details.
We are developing a calendar of all events, year-long, for 2025, so watch this space!
